Plural component polyurea elastomers need to be applied through heat and high pressure and don’t mix until it reaches the spray gun. The EPL (Extended Pot Life) series allows the product to be hand-mixed and applied with a brush or trowel.
Because of its slower chemistry, EPL products were designed as a patch or repair material for polyurea. EPL-1™ is a high-strength, self-leveling, semi-rigid polyurea elastomer. Because of its high tensile strength and high elongation, EPL-1™ is very resistant to deformation. This balance of physical properties makes it an ideal polymer for filling or repairing construction joints, random cracks, joint faces, and spalls. It contains propriety additives for superior adhesion to ferrous surfaces and suitable for heavy-duty traffic.
EPL-1™ is impact, abrasion, gouge and tear resistant, as well as resistance to mild acids and bases. The elastomer is cost-effective, environmental-friendly and sets fast to return to service in hour, not days. It must be processed through high-pressure or joint-filled equipment.
Recommended uses for EPL-1™ are:

EPL-8™ is a high-elongation, self-leveling, elastomeric pure polyurea. When sprayed it acts as a high-resilient adhesive basecoat for use with pure polyurea products and polyurethane elastomers. EPL-8™ can also be applied with a brush or trowel and tack free in approximately 12 hours. It’s compliant with and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) requirements for incidental food contact.
