Dairy Farm & Milk Room

Job Description: Coated floors, walls, ceiling, crowd gate, posts and rails for easy wash down of double 20 dairy. The limited-slip floor areas were cleaned then primed with SPI Primer, coated with 100 mils of POLYSHIELD SS-100® and broadcast with aggregate followed by 30 mil topcoat for a total of 130 mils.

Galvanized and stainless steel do not clean up well and POLYSHIELD SS-100® was specifically chosen for its easy cleaning and sanitation properties. The owner of the dairy loves POLYSHIELD SS-100® and has coated swather heads, a flag pole, corral gates, empty electric wire spools for hanging hoses and just about everything else they could think of to coat! The floors, holding area and flag pole were done in a dark green pigment, the walls and ceilings were done in sand pigment.

Follow-up Inspection: June 1999. Everything looked good except sterilization chemical caused a slight discoloration on the green floor.

Other Coatings Evaluated for Project: No other coatings were evaluated for this project.
