Job
Description: Sixty-year
old concrete basin was used to store processed soft water. The
previous coating, which appeared to be coal tar epoxy, had failed.
Soft water severely leeched into concrete, dissolving the surface.
The basin was hydroblasted with 6500 psi and regrouted with cementitious
grout. The basin was then sealed with primer and POLYSHIELD SS-100®.
The owner had previously used spray polyurethane elastomers on
other projects at this facility, with good results, therefore
making it an easy decision to choose POLYSHIELD SS-100®.
