Secondary Containment Systems

Job Description: Concrete pads with curbing were used to store barrels. The concrete was coated with a clear sealer only. Cracks had developed throughout the surface producing a potential path for leakage to enter the ground. The pads were water blasted with 40,000 psi to remove the sealer and to establish a profile. 50 mils of POLYSHIELD HT™ with AE-4 (Adhesion Enhancing Formula) was applied, followed by a tack coat with blast sand added for a skid-resistant surface.

Other Coatings Evaluated for Project: The owner had previously used POLYSHIELD SS-100® on other projects at their facilities with good results, therefore, making it an easy decision to choose POLYSHIELD HT™.
