Primary/Secondary Containment Systems Evaporation Pit Liners Job
Description: The
newly constructed Evaporation Containment Pits in Wyoming used
Polyurea HT on an Amoco 2044 inorganic grid. Evaporation pits
are used in primary and secondary containment of oilfield brim.
The unique design utilized a polyethy-lene grid between base and topcoat, creating primary and secondary containment divided into cells to be electronically monitored for leaks between primary and secondary linings. Polyurea HT was chosen for its dura-bility, seamless composition and economical value. Other Coatings Evaluated for Project: Other polyureas, polyure-thanes, polypropylene sheet film.
