Leak Prevention

Job Description: The Anchorage Zoo needed to repair the seal and sea otter habitat. The concrete was cracked and leaking. The entire area was sand-blasted and primed. After the primer, light blue POLYSHIELD SS-100® was sprayed to a thickness of 100 mils. POLYSHIELD SS-100® was chosen because it is a fast set, abrasion resistant, seamless liner. Since the habitat is power-washed weekly, super durability and adhesion are essential.

Follow-up Inspection: July 2003. The Anchorage Zoo is extremely pleased with POLYSHIELD SS-100®. As expected, the color has faded over the past ten years, but the durability and adhesion have been excellent.
